Scout Night, Bicycle Giveaway, & Extra Mains Highlight Father’s Day Event at Action Track USA

Kutztown, PA (June 16) –  This Sunday, June 17, is Father’s Day and the team at Championship Energy Action Track USA has a great idea…why not treat dad to an exciting, fun-filled night of high speed adventure?

The speedway located on the Kutztown Fairgrounds swings open its gates once again on Sunday for another heart-pounding evening of thrills and chills, with a triple header card of racing that includes two extra main events! The three weekly divisions will attack the clay, with action from the USAC All-Pro SpeedSTRs, Hyper Racing 600cc Sprint Cars, and All Star Slingshots plus make-up events from June 3rd for the 600s and Slingshots. That’s a full program of qualifying races and five big feature races for the price of three!

It’s also Scout Night, and all Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts In uniform will receive FREE general admission tickets. And there will be a Bike give-a-ways for kids!

Coming off a very successful and entertaining Wednesday, June 13 program that featured Steve Buckwalter’s first USAC SpeedSTR triumph in the Flyin’ Farmer 40, the Father’s Day event will continue the excitement-filled 2018 season at the track located across the street from Kutztown University.

With his breakthrough win, the Royersford Rocket climbed to fourth in the point standings, trailing championship leader Billy Pauch Jr., Tim Buckwalter, and Ohio’s Matt Westfall.

Pauch Jr., from Milford, NJ, also leads the point parade for the Hyper Racing 600 sprints. He’s got a slim 25-point cushion over Alex Bright, with Colin White sitting third in the chase.

One-time winner Jared Silfee is pacing the All Star Slingshot standings by just 20 points over Dakota Kohler. Former track champ Brett Bieber is third heading into Sunday’s event.

Since the Sunday, June 17 program features double main events for the 600 Sprints and Slingshots, the point standings could be significantly altered by the end of the night.
Adult General Admission is $14, Senior Citizens are admitted at $12, Kids 6-12 are $5, and Kids Under 6 are always FREE! As always, there is free parking — and a well-priced selection of food and beverage at Championship Energy Action Track USA!
Pit Gates open at 2:30 PM, Grandstands at 3:30 PM, Warm Ups at 4:30 PM, and Qualifying beginning immediately after that.

Coming up on Sunday, June 24, is the final event before the mandated two-week break for the annual Berks County Folk Festival that takes place on the Kutztown Fairgrounds. On the 24th, there will be a Candy Scramble for the kids and racing will include the SpeedSTRs, 600 Sprints, All Star Slingshots, and Junior Slingshots.

Following the two-week hiatus, racing resumes on Wednesday, July 11 with the lucrative Tri-Track Challenge for the Hyper Racing 600 Sprints.
